Short Courses
Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a certificate of completion will be awarded for 100 percent attendance and participation. All courses will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and will be held in-person at the Wyndham Garden State College. Hotel booking information is included with each course listing. Lunch will be provided on all three days.
HVAC Short Course — HVAC Equipment Troubleshooting & Service Procedures
May 6–8
Operations and maintenance personnel, facility managers, engineers who support facilities, and anyone who wants to increase their knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment should consider attending the HVAC Equipment Troubleshooting and Service Procedures course. Instruction will focus on the fundamentals of troubleshooting HVAC equipment and executing service procedures including how to measure, test, and evaluate system performance.

Effective Facility Management Year 2 — Leadership, Supervision, & Communication

Join us for one of the most successful programs offered by PSFEI—the Effective Facility Management short course, a three-year series of courses that provides an orderly progression of topics to enhance the knowledge, skills, abilities, and effectiveness of facility management personnel.
Effective Facility Management Year 2 is designed to benefit facility managers, general maintenance technicians, and other facility maintenance or management personnel who desire to grow in their leadership abilities by developing basic management, supervisory, and communication skills.

Boiler Short Course — Central Plant Heating Systems & Equipment
June 10–12
Are you “in-tune” with your central heating plant systems and equipment? Would you like to explore troubleshooting techniques to help identify and prevent equipment failures? Consider attending the PSFEI Boiler Short Course. Participants will learn the fundamentals of central heating plants including equipment, operations, and maintenance requirements. This course is intended for boiler operators, utility plant supervisors, maintenance managers, and other facility maintenance or management personnel who would like a greater understanding of their central plant heating systems.

Electrical Short Course — Facility Electrical Loads
June 24–26
Increase your fundamental understanding of selecting, operating, and maintaining different electrical loads such as wiring, lighting, motors, variable frequency drives, and controllers by attending the Facility Electrical Loads course. Designed to benefit electricians, supervisors, physical plant engineers, technicians, and other facility maintenance or management personnel, this course will explore troubleshooting techniques specific to these systems. It will also equip participants with the tools needed to identify and prevent potential failures.
